So a few of you have came up with some very good points after I posted my journal (read below *** if you wish to view). There are some of you whom I've met in real life and you wouldn't be able to participate in the contest. I've decided to give you all (who know my true form) a different challenge. Draw me, Shanree, of your first impression of me when we met. That will be judged on ... something. Still have to think about it. But there's an idea for everyone - please give feedback!

Hey everyone!

So I've got some art I've been working on in my room at the moment that are half way completed. I'm trying out all these new styles that I've seen and I want to get it down just right.

As far as how active I'll be on dA, it'll be some-some. I'm attending an extra class over the summer to get more credits and such, so I may not be able to get on as often as would like. To make you guys somewhat happy, I'm basing my finale project on art and plan to create a work that would be considered professional. It's going to be very different from my usual drawings and will probably be experimenting with different medias instead of the usual color pencils, ink, and pencils. I'll be sure to post it once it's complete.

After just 12 days of absence, my inbox has 115 deviations, 96 messages, and 3 notes.

Also, I'm thinking of holding a contest for you all. I realize I don't have a lot of watchers, but I've been really wanting to try this out for a while now. Ever since I've joined dA, many people have asked me to reveal my personal information such as my full birthday (including the year), ethnicity, my first language, real name, gender, where I live, what I look like, etc. And, as you all know, I keep everything about me secret. Until now?? The contest will be based off who can draw the most accurate picture of what I look like in real life.

At the moment, I just want to receive input from you all as to what you guys think. The prize? I'm considering either a commission (full color) by me or the first full chapter of my story, Raisharia.

Lucky Rabbit's Foot by *IceandSnow

Not only is the execution of this painting done fa nominally, but that it's also done on an unusual backing such as cardboard is interesting. I especially enjoyed how she used the cardboard to her advantage and made the ditch. The art style is also interesting to look at once you see how much detail there is.
