I'm so glad you colored this picture. After seeing all of those sketches or b/w pictures, I was itching to see some of your colored work. ^^ And this turned out great overall. Granted, you may not like the background, but I think it turned out just fine. Oki turned out good as well.

I agree with your mother and ~salii, her expression is really lovely. I especially like how surprised she looks. "A giant cookie? From Sprite? Hmmm...Should I eat it? Or is it just a trap set for me by Zee? For all I know, there could be some sort of electric buzzer in there...Huh...Looks pretty authentic, though..."


And I just ADORE the way you drew her eyes. They look so pretty. The way the pupils aren't quite fully black really seems to fit her.

And you even got the colors of the three studs in her ear correctly! That must've been hard, seeing how small they are. While speaking of her ears, I love the way they look here. I also love her wings, her hair, her spots, (I just now noticed that you used two color blues to gradient the spots, which is exactly how they're supposed to be!) Her tail...I just love all of it! I don't even know what else to say! Thank you so much for this wonderful picture, Sprite! It's such a great birthday present! I LOVE IT!

And I know you're not too happy with the background, but I can't stop looking at the wonderful way you drew the grass. It looks very real, in my opinion!

I quite enjoy your paws. xD I don't know why, but I like the style you do them in. The only thing I'd mention is that the back left paw seems a bit small. But maybe not.

Now my favourite part of this has to be the fue, you have a very nice technique to make the fur look extremley realstic and 'flowey', so much nicer than that 'clumped together' look many wolf artists seem to be adopting right now... Very nice detail on the fetloacks (paw fur... i don't know what it's called but thats what you call it on a horse xD) i love how you have taken care to see it looks like its falling down

Very nice grass good use of tones to make it grassy, somthing many artists are often too lazy for, but you have done it very nicley here <3

All i'd say is possibly consider usuing watercolour for your background sky, it would give much less pencil texture and more sky-nes, also clouds would be cute, but the main focus of the picture- Oki is FAB! <3

Thank you! I wanted to add in the card for a more comical look since I've been drawing so many realistic pictures. If you looked at my old picture of Oki (back in 2007), you'll see how horrible it looked before. My sense of color was especially blinding.

I think all this one really needed was a good few more hours of working on. I'm happy with how it turned out as well, but it seems like it could improve so much more.
